What is Included in a Standard Website?
For just $256 you can get your business online with a professional, contemporary, four page basic website. This type of site will be template-based and then styled to match the look and feel of your business. The Standard Website is a great place for your business to start out. It provides a very nice looking simple site for even the tightest budgets. There are also many upgrade and customization options which will allow your site to grow as your business grows.
Home Page
Every site has a home page, this will generally be the first thing a person sees when they visit your site. The home page should be visually appealing and have important information clearly available for people to easily find, such as phone number, hours of operation, etc. The home page is also a great place to post important announcements, news, upcoming events, etc.
Contact Page
This page will have a form for your customers to send you emails. The contact page will also include such information as phone number, fax, street address, map or any other contact info you wish to make publicly available.
Products or Services Page
The type of business you operate will determine the content of this page. It may list things like a generic description of products or services you offer, or very specific lists of inventory, menu, products, categories, prices etc. depending on what is most appropriate for your business and what you feel comfortable listing. This is not an online store for people to make purchases through your website, but online stores are available as an upgradable option.
The Fourth Page
Depending on the needs of your specific business, the fourth page will be set up how you see fit. There are many dynamic options that you can choose from, or that we can recommend to you that will most benefit your business. Examples are things like event calendar, photo / video gallery, blog or news articles, about us page, a second products or services page, customer testimonials or reviews, and many many more.
Additional Standard Pages
Additional Standard Pages may be added on to your website at any time for a low, flat rate of only $64 per page. This means that you can start simple and your site can grow as you see fit and as your budget allows.
Web Hosting
Sogware will provide the web hosting for you. We do this because it saves us a lot of time and work, which means it saves you money and will be one less issue for you to worry about. We offer 100% subsidization of your website hosting fees by tastefully and very unobtrusively placing a bit of advertising on your site, or we give the option of paying a minimal fee for hosting. The choice will be entirely up to you and can be changed at any time. Our goal is to make it as economically feasible as possible for small businesses to get online. If you do not wish to be hosted on the Sogware server, we can set up your own web host for you and install and configure all the software you need to make your server run (hourly rates may apply).
Domain Names
A domain name is the .com url that people will use to access your website, for example sogware.com or google.com etc. You, as the business owner must purchase your own domain name so that it is legally yours. If you already have a domain name then we will just need to modify its settings to get your new site online. If you don't have one then we recommend purchasing one through GoDaddy.com, they're only about $12 per year. If you don't know how to do this, we will be more than happy to help you through the process, its really pretty easy. (Hourly rates may apply)
Email Accounts
Email is a totally separate service from web design, but Sogware can offer a couple of solutions for you. If you do not currently have email @yourdomain.com we can set that up for you using Google's free business apps. If you do already have email and would like it transfered to Google's free business app service, we can do that too. Hourly rates will apply for any email / IT configuration services requested. Otherwise you are welcome to purchase email and set it up on your own, through whichever company you choose.
Upgrades, Custom Design / Development and IT Services
